Today I’m wearing my black hat proudly.

But, lest you think I’m into promoting some kind of subversive web site app let me quickly explain.

Usually the term “black hat” references to some of the more sinister sort of methods used by daring marketers to temporarily get around or outsmart the search engines so that they can gain higher rankings.

But let’s be clear: I’m not into that.

Wouldn’t know the first thing about it anyway. I’m no smarty-ass coder. I hardly know my HTML from my HELP.

So, what’s with the black hat? Well, see I’m just loosely calling it that because (although it is black in color) it’s my way of demonstrating that what I’m presenting is going to be a tad controversial to those who have interests in the industry of personal development.

I’m going to be putting on a webinar later this month to explain Mindset Immunity and what it means for those who seek better results without getting all hyped or pumped up from teachings that continue to come out of traditional self-help. (If you want you can sign up to receive the announcement of the time and date in the form in the right sidebar.)

In this group I’ll even include the airy fairy LOA stuff as well as the dreamy head-based Himalayan snow breeze promoted by the TM’ers.

Personally I’ve always been uncomfortable with that stuff as well as the stuff that says things like “If you don’t feel happy at least act happy and soon you’ll feel happy.”

Too much lame fakeness for me. I’d much rather have that joy and happiness simmering away, as it usually does, in my gut.

Mindset Immunity, in a nutshell, is about the discovery of new type of immune system. It’s the one that looks after our thinking mindset and it appears to work much like the one that looks after our physical bodies although it’s painfully slower. The biggest difference is that it’s well… invisible.

But, strange as that may seem, that’s not what makes it all that “black hat”. That term is what I imagine all those gooroos will think it is. See, when people like you find out that you can easily discover that you have a new natural capability, one that’s already in you from birth, and that helps to control your mood towards the positive side automatically, then that could impact the whole industry. Capabilities are more permanent deliverables than information is.

Capabilities can’t be taken away from you by anyone. They are a real thing. An attribute that brings you more intrinsic power and freedom that comes from you and belongs to you. You’re not beholden to anyone and that’s new in this rock-star industry.

Remember, personal development is an industry that hasn’t seen much newness since the dear old Maharishi showed up back in 1958 promising to bring what he said would: “rid the world of all unhappiness and discontent.”

Ok, maybe didn’t turn out that way for this oblate spheroid we call earth but it did alright for him.

To the tune of millions of moochos moola.

Worth a tip o’the black hat wouldn’t you say?

More power to you.

PS: Tell me what you think in the comment area below. Or, if you’ve got something cool to say, just give me a shout in the box below.

When you start anything new you are usually drawn to it (+). That’s because you’re looking at the great possibilities for all the goodness that you envision. It’s all part of the packaging of the new and different.

But then, after a while, the difficulties and problems start to arise as you try to grasp the newness and gain control of it. If it’s a new business you’re starting for example, it can be really fun in the beginning until customers start demanding better service and supplier’s want their accounts paid up.

It can get so bad that you might want to run away (-) and hide.

I know what it’s like. I’ve started many small businesses that failed miserably. But I couldn’t run away (-) from the worst one because it was in farming and there were livestock involved who had to be milked every day. I had to ride that one right till the day they came in trucks and picked up all of our goats and sent them to the processor. That was a big (-) I can tell you.

Existence is filled with these things (-). Few and far between are the (+) it seems. Especially these days.

But I found a way to change that and it helped a lot of people with the (-) in their lives. But I had to stay with the process of learning about the newness I called H.E.R.O. well enough to be able to articulate its story.

Glad I did too. So will you because there could be a pile of (-) heading your way and this can make you strong enough to turn a lot of the (-) into (+).

And that, my friend, is going to keep you from moving away from things that might be good for you to moving closer to them.

More power to you.

David

Crumple zones work by managing crash energy, absorbing it within the outer sections of the vehicle, rather than being directly transmitted to the occupants, while also preventing intrusion into or deformation of the passenger cabin. This better protects car occupants against injury.

-From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I love the idea of crumple zones. They have saved a lot of lives in car accidents since they were introduced by Mercedes-Benz in the 1950’s.

But I have a new use of the term. What if a type of crumple zone was available for the human thinking so that when some negative experience happens in their lives people can feel less injury?

Believe it or not that is the function of my life’s work in developing a way to better utilize an unknown human ability: To be aware of and to enhance the effectiveness of a hidden immune system for the thinking.

Sounds crazy doesn’t it?

I’ll admit it may sound like a science fiction story. But all you have to do is recall the last time you had what you believe is a really serious negative experience in your life. For a few individuals, especially successful entrepreneurs for example, they tend to get over such a thing fairly quickly but a whole lot of the rest of us don’t.

Like a divorce for example.

I know of someone, I’ll call “June” who is about to go through a tremendous devastation in her life. She has three young children. Her husband of four years has turned out to be bit of a brute. She is seeking a way to file for divorce while, at the same time, keeping control of how the children will be cared for. He’s living in the family home’s basement.

Meanwhile she keeps at her regular job. This situation has been going on for months. I don’t think she sleeps that well at night.

Then there’s a guy I’ll call “Ernie”.

Two and a half years ago he had an injury at work. He hasn’t worked ever since and, although he has a couple of kids from two failed marriages (one a teen and the other a very cute four year-old), he decided to move into his parents’ house where he still remains. He is getting medical treatment for his injury and is awaiting a doctor’s permission to get back to work. The real problem is he’s not getting that much younger and he doesn’t have much confidence in himself to try to get into something other than construction.

Not a situation that is high on the happiness scale.

Interestingly, these two examples of life’s troubles do create stress but haven’t devastated these people completely. At least not yet.

They remain doing some things they love although it’s a struggle every day to make real change for a more meaningful life.

In my opinion they are both in the proverbial rut. They could be there for a long time.

What I’m getting to is that troubles in life generally are considered normal. We usually resolve our troubles, at least to some extent, although usually it takes a lot of time and often betterment is only at a minimal level.

For far too many this tends to take away the enjoyment of life in general.

Interestingly though we humans must have some sort of natural ability to continue to get by even when a difficult time persists. The problem is though it often takes a very long time before the negative effects become somewhat resolved or the stress from them somewhat eased.

In my own life I’ve come to realize that this is very much similar to the body’s ability to repair itself from disease or infection.

For the last four years I’ve had to deal with Graves disease. It’s an auto-immune dis-function. Hypothyroidism they call it. The body appears to be on a course of speeding up digestion of every available body cell. I was starting to get really thin and weak.

I refused the prescribed medical treatment and instead I got on to some high quality natural supplements and now, three years later, everything seems fine again.

My doctor was somewhat amazed that I recovered to a point that I now have absolutely no symptoms at all despite refusing his prescription.

Interestingly I was never all that emotionally downtrodden even though this disease, I was told in no uncertain terms, could be fatal without medical help.

Could the fact that I had done H.E.R.O. myself years ago allowed me to resist the negative aspirations of a serious disease? Could the increased speed of my mindset immunity actually assist my physical turnaround?

I think it must have.

The human immune system in most of us has an amazing capability. It utilizes a tremendous ability to operate with unparalleled intelligence. It can set to work on overcoming a certain invader almost instantly the minute it is recognized.

I think you can think of it as an amazing crumple zone for physical health (although in my case for a few years at least it seemed to have reversed itself during my Graves disease experience).

But there’s a problem when it comes to the thinking mindset in many adults.

Immunity, if it exists in the realm of the thinking mindset at all, does not seem to be working at the same speed in this realm as it does in the physical.

Even when a person has the benefit of the usual programs in personal development or professional therapy a return to a somewhat natural emotional wellness can take months or sometimes years and the cost is hugely expensive.

Over the last ten years I’ve come perfect a new tool that assists a type of human immunity. Not the one that acts on the physical of course (I’m not a doctor) but the one that acts on the ethereal. It seems to enable mindset immunity to speed up by a huge percentage and to therefor create a new advantage in one’s gain of their personal development.

In January 2010 I will publicly launch this new tool to all those in North America.

As of now I’m seeking 25 serious people who would like to experience this new phenomenon in their own life. No need to explain to me what your problem is either. I’m not a counselor and we don’t need to get into it to resolve the problem anyway. You’ll be doing that on your own automatically after H.E.R.O. has been completed.

It will be done on-line from wherever your have your computer situated in North America.

My system only looks at how your success history has been done in your past. One day is all it takes and, because benefits seem to be permanent, repeat attempts to use this new tool are not needed nor will they allowed.

To apply for a free mindset immunity experience through the use of H.E.R.O. leave me a comment or send me an email and I’ll get back to you.

Research shows (and I have no idea how they count this stuff) that the average person thinks about 12,000 thoughts per day. If you’re a really deep thinker it could be as much as 50,000 per day.

And how many of those many thoughts would you say are productive?

Really?

That’s what I thought.

All that thinking “produces” all right but what is produced is not always useful to our purposes is it? In fact researchers say up to 80% of our thoughts are downright negative.

So negative it’s keeping a lot of us up at night. What would that do your mindset?

Here’s a solution to getting around all that.

Have you ever noticed that when you “don’t think” about something, like playing a musical instrument or even writing a quick first draft of a blog post for example, you do better?

More dramatically, when a person who is seen as a “hero” because they spontaneously risked their own life to save another they consistently report: “I didn’t think about it. I just did it.”

When it comes to not thinking this could be one of those times when not doing something is actually way more beneficial for you and for the world. By extension, by actually doing nothing you become the change that you’d like to see in the world.

Because if you’re not thinking about what ever it is you lac (and feeling crappy about it) you’ll automatically take on an air of abundance that others will find quite refreshing – especially these days.

We’ve all heard the old saying “it’s not what happens to you but how you react to it that matters”. Indeed, reactionary thinking is often the culprit here. The universal phenomenon of taking action without thinking could be a real key to dramatic results IF it could somehow be brought to bear at the exact time (and every time) when it was needed.

That was the sort of stuff that I was looking at when, several years ago, I came up with the H.E.R.O. eMachine.

Over the past 12 months I’ve been working seven days-a-week to put together a cogent way of explaining how a stupidly simple little on-line “clinic” that, in a little as 24 hours, could form a powerful link between your intellect and a natural phenomenon that’s been living inside of you since birth.

It was a ton of work because H.E.R.O. uses your thinking (memory) to lock on to something that is in you but is outside of your physicalness (although you can feel it physically). This may sound weird but this is emerging as being closer to a new type of “immunity” than just another new thinking method.

Try and explain that one!

In any case it seems to stop all that constant mind-chatter cold in its tracks. That leaves you with thoughts that are really objective. For many it could be the first time that’s been available for a long long time.

I’m just now putting the finishing touches on a new video that will blow you away. But I’m not stopping there.

Because this is still the H.E.R.O. beta I’m going to be giving away up to 25 complete H.E.R.O. Discover eMachine personalized one-on-one sessions for the low low price of… FREE! (One session per customer is all that’s needed.)

Yes indeedy I’m not kidding.

You’ll get me personally guiding you through the process right on your own computer wherever that might be in North America.

Just the two of us for the day. Only an internet connection away.

If you can’t wait till the video is ready just comment below and I’ll get back to you to arrange your free session ASAP.

First come – first served. This offer will be gone when I reach 25 registrations.

Like Nike says: (Don’t think too much) “Just do it!”

You’ll feel better too.

..More power to you all.

I, like a ton of other young boys, became aware of it when I was still in grade school. On the cover was the magazine’s fictional mascot and iconic symbol: a zany spokes-guy by the name of Alfred E. Newman. Alfred’s favorite catchphrase “What, me worry?” was also featured somewhere on the cover of every issue.

As kids if we couldn’t remember his name it didn’t matter, we just referred to him as the “what-me-worry-guy”; everyone knew who you meant.

But despite all the years of clever satirical humor (often at the expense of those currently in the glow of the news or popular entertainment) the general population today is reportedly more worried now than ever.

Not surprising either.

In my local paper today is a good example of how the news media is playing us all into the worry hole.

It’s got a short article that has both the ‘f’ and the ‘w’ words in it. The headline screams: “Be afraid, just not about flu”.

The local media, being the media, has apparently upped the ante in the fear department. Now they’re telling us we don’t have to be worried – we have to actually “be afraid”.

The article says we need not just worry about the swine flu. We need to be afraid of all the other horrendous stuff going around in the world as well.

It goes on to list a sampling of some of the worst plagues to torment mankind.

Like the fact that every year around the world there are:
-nine million new cases of tuberculosis
-247 million new cases of malaria
-nearly three million new cases of HIV infections

Now I hope you’re not reading this and trying to digest your breakfast (or lunch, or dinner). That might lead to other serious problems to add to this appallingly frightful list.

Problems that might really be closer to home. Problems of the gastrointestinal kind.

Look, I’m not meaning we shouldn’t be aware of what’s happening in our world. I’m not saying we should avoid the news or any other reality by sticking our head in the sand.

Not by a long shot.

The fact that there are lots of things all around us with the capacity to generate considerable genuine worry and fear in people is the reason that I carry on my life’s work.

That work is now morphing into a new social movement that I call “Mobiusmankind”. It will see a growing community of benevolent people who possess mindsets that, while they may not be satisfied, always experience a state of happiness despite difficulties. Those who have a mindset that are more interested in helping others get across the finish line than constantly striving to get over it first themselves.

It will consist of those who’s motivation is not driven by an attitude that says: “I will…” but a gut-level inner drive that says: “I must”.

My role in this new movement is to articulate and promote the use of a simple tool I developed that helps people unlock the phenomenon of a hidden energy that exists within all humanity. This energy is intelligent and is the source of human happiness, adaptability, resilience, and creativity.

An energy that is the source of what I call the “new immunity”. I call it that because it operates on your thinking much like your physical immune system operates in your body. It restores your state of normalcy. It cause your mindset to be so incredibly stable over long periods of time that I can only describe it as being “immune” to even failure itself.

I’m not a therapist. Those people are generally away smarter than I am. They can prove it too. They have embossed credentialed and beautifully framed certificates decorating their office walls. They even have letters after their names for God’s sake.

I don’t have any of that.

The only kind of things I have on my wall is a few of my own hand-drawn cartoons stuck there by a few strips of green painter’s tape.

Because “therapy” is not what I do I can’t recommend the stuff that the highly educated types do in the therapy business. They like to talk about the many different types of mindsets. They have names to describe them – names like “fixed” and “growth”. They seem to like to suggest very complicated sets of instructions that only they (for a hefty fee) can help you understand.

Therapy gems like this:
“…analyze the inner-dialog that your opposing mindset voices in your head are saying, then weigh the one against the other to…”

Voices in your head?

Sorry.

Those of us with immune mindsets don’t have much of that going on anymore. Not during the day and not at night either.

If we did that might really be something to worry about.

Till next time… More power to you.

Zoned out like some kind of zombie.

That’s not what I mean at all. I mean that your thinking should react to stress like your body reacts to disease. As if your thinking mind had its own immune system because I believe it does.

In the body when a pathogen comes in to do damage it’s met head-on by the active agents in the blood that are there especially to defend their territory from the invader.
They work to neutralize the effects of the virus on the rest of the body. They’re smart too; they remember things for the next time it happens. If you get a particular strain of cold virus, for example, they will fight it off then after it’s gone the system ‘remembers’ what it did to overcome the attacker. Next time that same virus comes along and tries to get a foot-hold the system will recognize it and quickly mobilize to eliminate it with greater efficiency than before.

This is what our computer virus protection is modeled after. Would you turn off your your anti-virus protection, drop your firewall, and then go surfing on the internet?

Probably not.

Then why would you take your thinking, unprotected as it is, out into the world every day? If we can design a machine to have a type of immune system then why can’t our human thinking have one as well?

Sounds like a crazy question?

Maybe not.

In his book “The Big Moo” author Seth Godin points out: “The world is changed, but our organizations haven’t changed along with it. We can no longer rely on the old solutions…”
I agree. A long time ago I recognized that when people want to improve their ability to do well in the world by becoming more motivated they typically do what has been done for decades. They reach for the next self-help book, seminar, or system and then try to glean motivational energy from it. They get all high on the information.

That’s a problem.

It’s a problem because what they’re attempting to do is run on borrowed energy. The original ideas are not theirs. They’re someone else’s. That emotional high is like a drug and like all drugs it wears off. Then, like any addict, they need to go back for more. That keeps the self-help publishers happy.

I know that to believe in yourself is tough when the evidence to support that belief is hard to find. But that’s only because you don’t know where to look for it. There is an abundance of support for a solid belief in your own abilities but it’s buried under the weight of your many failures. You just need to commit the time to dig through them.

If you’re willing to do that I’ll lend you the tool that will help you dig.

Just shoot me a line and ask for more info about The H.E.R.O. Discovery eMachine. Don’t worry about money. It won’t cost you a dime.

After you use H.E.R.O. you won’t have to breathe someone else’s fire ever again.
