Mobiusmanifesto

I always wanted a manifesto of my own so here it is. (More to follow in this series.)

When I started out into business years ago I was told early on that a positive mindset was essential for success.

But after repeated attempts to get lasting results from the usual methods, offered by the great gurus and authors of personal development, I came to the conclusion that something must be broken.

With all their books, recordings, and seminars I felt that they were doing is what has always been done. That is: Offering information on personal development TO me. I needed it coming THROUGH me so I could internalized it better and get to the place where they were but in far less time and with less effort than I had before. Otherwise, I’d just be the same as I was before and what would be the point of that.

Of course, a methodology that could do that didn’t exist back then so I set out to build one.  I decided to create something so different it would stand the old personal development model on its head. I didn’t want to just have information “transfer” from one person to another, I wanted a personal “transformation” from one person to another. In other words from the “old” me into the “new” me.

What I came up with is the H.E.R.O. Personal Success Discover eMachine.

Over the last few years I’ve been quietly perfecting it.  Creating the language for talking about it in an envelope of a new theory: The theory of Mindset Immunity.

This manifesto will outline how I want to contribute to the world by encouraging a conversation about these two new ideas. I’m hoping that by writing it I’ll get better at finding the words to articulate how these new creations can be useful to people like you.

A Bridge Too Far

I don’t get to the movies much so I haven’t got a lot of memories of too many of them. But back in 1977 I went to see a war picture called “A bridge too far“. I don’t remember why I want because I don’t really like war pics.

It had a lot of great actors in it though. Guys like Michael Caine, James Caan, and the famous actor of  the Bond movies 007 Sean Connery.  This was a true story which took place in 1944 in the middle of the second world war.  It is known in history as “operation Market Garden”.

The Allies wanted to finish the war early and so poured everything into this operation. It didn’t go well. Not well at all.

The German forces were stronger than anticipated and in the end it was declared an “Allied operational failure”.  Now we know it was the worst in history with over 17,000 casualties. One of the bridges they were trying to capture was just too darn far.

Kind a bit-off-more-than-we-can-chew type of thing.

Ever have one of those? I have, and it used to stress me out to the nines. It can do a lot of damage to your mindset that’s for sure.

Lucky I took this a long time ago and now I get an automatic buffering effect whenever a bad turn happens. It’s still not a cake-walk but it allows me to stay on track.  A lot better than the alternative.

A Bridge Too Far

Private Libraries

When I was in high school I’d sometimes walk over to my dad’s office so I could catch a ride home with him.  Often I’d have to wait at least an hour. To pass the time I’d go across the street to the building that was the main library. I loved going there because there was so much to look at.

I’d look at books on business ideas mostly because I wanted to have the mindset of an entrepreneur when I grew up.

I’d examine the great stories of past successful businessmen and marvel at how rich they became. I was fascinated to learn about their stories of how they struggled to overcome difficulty and hardship.  Of course I did go on to become an entrepreneur myself and I too had to overcome many things in my efforts to get the job done.

My Private Library

But it wasn’t until I had stumbled upon what would become known as the H.E.R.O. eMachine, and used it myself, that I was to realize the importance of the hidden private libraries that people must be walking  around with every day. Within these are the forgotten stories of successes gone by.

Through my work with H.E.R.O. I am well aware of the power that they possess. Power to transform an ordinary life into an extraordinary one.

I’ve seen it first hand.

Entering these private libraries and helping their owners to Uncover these stories are one of the things that  H.E.R.O. is designed to do. The other is to form a connection to the root core energy that allowed them to form.

I am blessed indeed to now be able to help so many access their own private libraries. Help them to expose the hidden drive that all those stories link to and be a witnesses to the transformation that then occurs.

The shy become confident. The fearful daring. The directionless gain passion.

What libraries I’ve seen!

What’s This All About?

Greetings.

A lot of people that check out this blog wonder:

“What the heck is a Mobius man?” and  “What’s mindset immunity?”

I have some really long answers and some short answers. I’m  guessing that you’d prefer the short answer right?.

Thought so.

Ok here goes:

What’s a Mobiusman? The Mobius Strip is something that I’ve been smitten by since I was 12 years old and found it in a math book. For me it is the quintessential metaphor for transformation and integration. I use it a lot to explain the mystery of persistence and where the location of this phenomenal drive’s core source in humans can be found. I like it so much I’ve named my domain after it.

What’s Mindset Immunity? This is a theory that I’m proposing is like the natural body’s immune system but for the for the thinking mindset. It operates to protect and heal in a similar way to how the body is protected by the physical immune system. Just one problem. It’s extremely slow acting in most people. I’ve found solution to that though.  It’s a little online tool I have developed called the H.E.R.O. eMachine that will speed up the rate of mindset immunity many times over in most cases.

As this relates to personal development I should point out that mindset immunity is NOT a zonking out of one’s capacity to feel anything. In fact, if anything, it’s a raising of one’s awareness without causing any undue vulnerability.

That’s the skinny of it anyway.

More power to you.

Questions/Answers – Think and Grow Rich

Is Think And Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill Enough To Build A Strong Belief In Yourself?

Napoleon Hill still looks good to a lot of people trying to strengthen their mindsetI’ve written about Napoleon Hill before. But recently I was in an online forum and I’m always amazed at the attention and interest the work of  Napoleon Hill still get’s so many decades after his death.

In the post I was reading the person who started the thread was asking people to explain in our own words what we thought Hills most famous book was all about. Elsewhere on the same thread the poster came back and commented that he thought it was about faith and total belief.

Here’s how I responded:

You are absolutely right on about the total belief thing. But here’s the rub. Any belief no matter what it is about can only be established through one of these two ways:

1. Argument – a story, a discussion, a great book read over and over such as Think and Grow Rich (you get the idea) 2. Hard evidence – If you put your finger over a flame you will from then on be able to totally believe anyone who says that fire burns.

Now, I’m sure that you would agree hard evidence trumps mere argument any day.
